Simón is a 9 year-old boy who after the lost of his parents in a traffic accident, has to move to an isolated and small village to stay with his only relative alive, his aunt-grandmother, María Bayona. She is a middle-aged woman, with a strong and unhinged personality, whose only purpose is to inculcate him the teachings of an old and mysterious book that she is obsessed by. Simón, defenceless, and facing up the terrifying situation, will count on the support of his old teacher, Father Genaro and Leo, a village young man. |
